Final reflection
Learning IVN has been an experience for me. I have learnt a lot of Adobe Illustrator tools through out this module. When it was my first time I had a lot of struggle because it was quite different from Photoshop which I were more familiar with. Through these weeks, I started by learning the basic tools, such as the Pen Tool, Shape Builder, and Pathfinder, which helped me understand how to create and manipulate vector shapes. As I progressed, I explored more advanced features, such as 3D materials, masking layers, and gradient mapping, which allowed me to add depth and complexity to my designs. Through hands-on practice and continuous experimentation, I became more efficient in using these tools.
Beyond technical skills, I also learned about fundamental design principles, particularly composition and lighting. These aspects are crucial in visual storytelling, especially in creating engaging and readable artwork. When making the comic assignment, I learned the Framed Ink book thoroughly and pick which compositions will suit my comic panels later on. I do realize that it is really important especially to keep the flow of readers.
Overall, my journey with this module has been a significant learning experience that has not only improved my technical skills in Adobe Illustrator as a software but also deepened my understanding of visuals. Although I faced difficulties in the beginning, I am grateful for the progress I have made. This module has given me valuable skills and knowledge that I will carry forward into my future creative projects.
