Fig 1.1 - Development 1
Explanation Fig 1.1
The emphasis on this image is on the lady's eye. A yellow lighting coming from behind to create a little contrast of the portrait from the poster. More highlights are added on the eye to create more tension to viewers when looking at the poster. Light streaks on the hair are added to show how strong the lighting is from behind. There is also balance in the lighting, as both side has the same weight of balance, meaning it is symmetrical. Viewers will notice the visual hierarchy, starting from the lady's eye, then to the text.

Fig 1.2 - Development 2
Explanation Fig 1.2
The emphasis of this image is on the portrait of the lady. A different direction of light, a streak of lighting reflected on the right side of her face, creating a strong contrast between her and the background. Moreover, the text of the image is made gold to create balance between the word and image. There is hierarchy, from the portrait to the text above. The reflection on the armor itself is not significantly showed to make less distractions to viewers, and let viewers notice it as they observe deeper into the poster.

Fig 1.3 - Development 3
Explanation Fig 1.3
There is an emphasis one the text, the text is so bright that it emits a bright warm light to the lady’s face, giving a strong lighting and strong contrast within the right side and the left side of the face. This gives more tension towards viewers because the emotion of the poster is stronger. There is hierarchy here, viewers will first see the right eye, then to the light source which is the text. The reflection on the armor itself is not significantly showed to make less distractions to viewers, and let viewers notice it as they observe deeper into the poster.

Fig 2.1 - Character Drawing
Fig 2.1 Explanation
I drew the portrait of the character and the armor. I enhance the shading and render it so it would look like a better portrait. As for the armor, I added more shadings and highlights to create a better illustration of armor.

Fig 2.1.1; Fig 2.1.2; Fig 2.1.3; Explanation
I drew the cut scenes of the movies, to describe to the viewers what the movie is about, so they can have vision of what the movie is about. I added these cut scenes for the background of the poster and also the reflection of the armors.

Final Poster
Fig 3.0 Explanation
This movie poster is created, inspired by the design I have chosen from the previous task. Like other movie posters, I include the movie details with Gill sans typeface, along with the tagline of the movie, "Life of a Warrior" using Zapfino typeface. I use the typeface with lighter line weight to avoid it distracting the main focus. Meanwhile for the title, "战斗", I drew the typeface and make it the color gold to be part of the focal point. Added with cut scenes of the movie to so that viewers have vision about the movie.
The concept behind my work is to show viewers on the life of the warrior, which is the female main character, giving a fierce and serious emotion to give tension towards viewers.
It has contrast, from the strong lighting from the title, which emphasize the character. Then hierarchy, from the character's eye, to the title, then to the movie details. It has balance, where the left side of the poster main focus to the character, while the right sides focuses about what the movie is.
