Reflections

Experience
Learning advanced typography is very challenging. Unlike other lessons where I can find sources easily, with advanced typography, I need to brainstorm of several ideas, which turned out to be hard because brainstorming an original idea in such a short time is very tough. Moreover, there were revised ideas which sometimes make it hard for me to reconstruct it with the given critique. However, I believe that every critique given to me was to enhance every artwork I made to turn it into a better masterpiece. Still, it is very challenging because creating the idea itself consume a lot of time.

Observation
During class session, it is advised to write general and specific feedback, which allows me to observe every work of my classmates. As I listen to the feedbacks from the lecturer, I see a lot of improvements constructed as revisions were suggested.

Findings
Through this experience, I discovered that  this module is not just about aesthetics but also about communication, intention, and concept. It requires a balance between creativity and functionality. I found that consistent feedback and peer observation played a key role in my learning process. The iterative revisions helped me recognize the importance of flexibility and open-mindedness in design. Most importantly, I realized that great ideas don’t always come instantly. It requires time and in depth research
