Color Theory

Color Harmony

Learning color theory to understand how to compose colors according to our needs. Color theory is both the science and art of using color. My favorite color harmony are split complementary and monochromatic colors.
Split complementary    : 2 similar tones of colors with one different color which gives it a contrast.
Monochromatic            : 1 color, with different tone, shade, and tint

Split Complementary
Monochromatic

Hue Tint Tone Shade

Hue is basically the BASIC PURE COLOR.
Tint, Tone, Shade are pure colors added with BNW colors.

Psychology of Colors

Psychology of Colors

Every colors has different identity, meaning that to create a brand identity, we must understand Psychology of Colors so it matches with our brand.

Coca Cola has a vibrant Red color as their logo. The color red is associated with strong emotions like passion, energy, and excitement, which align with the refreshing experience Coca-Cola aims to deliver.

Tutorial

We were given some tutorials for this task

Those were the two video tutorials i watched to understand better about Double Exposure. For instance,  these are the most used tool
  • Clipping mask - to clip the image and make the main object as the border
  • Masking - to delete parts or to make the parts we want to show up, detail selection
  • Color drop - to adjust the colors

Quotes of the day
Life is short, Make it Sweet

Summary of your design concept:
Life may not always be enjoyable, but we must enjoy the little moments of life, which is called as “sweet” here.
I will put a photography of a sweet drink with the vibe according to the reference, together with the text.
I am inspired by the second reference the most, which means my photograph would be a levitating object with text, however I do not want to make the background a solid color to create more contrast in the photograph
